Mountain Boarding in the Lake District
We are extremely lucky to have the Surf The Turf - Adrenaline Sports Adventure Park within a short drive of the lodge
Mountain boarding is a great sport for all the family and for our son (who lives with a skateboard atached to his feet), finding Surf and Turf has been his way of really getting into the Lake District. He has never been happier than when we have let him spend an afternoon climbing up the hill and then coming down in various crazy looking ways.
Markus, who runs the site, is a great teacher and the other lads who use the park seem to be a friendly crowd

Equipment and safety gear hire is available from the centre, including the use of pads, helmets and mountain boards.
The park has a wide variety of tracks, jumps, and berms, and you can also take a bmx or mountain bike to enjoy the thrills
